Strolling and hiking from our place
From Mane braz you can cycle on or hike from our place to the nearest beach in St Philibert or Carnac. You can also ride to Auray on paths.

Located in the heart of the Quiberon bay, it is an authentic fishing harbour and sailing resort as well as a seaside resort.
You will find nice beaches, a large marina and people strolling along the quays.
This is the most spectacular and impressive megaliths sight with over 4,000 standing stones aligned on a few kilometers.
You can also find dolmens and cairns.
Saint Goustan is Auray old harbor on the brinks of the Auray river or Loc’h, the oldest part of the town. It used to be a large trade and fishing harbor. This is where Benjamin Franklin landed as he came from America to ask for the French help.
A sight worth seeing where you can have a drink or eat in one of the numerous little restaurants.
You will be able to walk on the coastal path, enjoy the breathtaking view on the mouth of the Gulf of Morbihan with Port Navalo on the opposite side. You can also sample the delicious oysters.
On very low tides, you can even pick cockles and wild oysters.
Vannes is a medieval city located at the brink of the Gulf of Morbihan (meaning little sea in Breton) . There are old medieval houses, private mansions.
You can walk along the marina or discover the different islands in the Gulf. You will have to take a boat to visit Arz or l’île aux Moines which are the most famous islands and during your boat trip you will probably come across some of the old traditional boats called the sinagots.

The Quiberon shore on the west side is rocky. The small coves are different according to the seasons.
You will see the beautiful sights of the Percho, the coastal path will take you to Port Blanc, Port Rhu, Port Bara and Port Goulom beaches.
A delight for surfers.
On the other side of the Gulf of Morbihan, the peninsula of Rhuys offers treasures. Starting with the tide mills, the castle of Suscinio, and you can push to the mouth of the Gulf at Port Navalo, admire the sailboats at the marina of Crouesty.
In summer a water bus connects Port Navalo to Locmariaquer which is a 10-minute drive from Mane Braz.
Located off the peninsula of Quiberon, in this same bay there are 3 islands, Belle Ile the largest followed by Houat (the duck in Breton) and Hoëdic (his duckling) which follows it closely.
From the most romantic to the wildest you will have the choice, they are accessible from Quiberon.
For Hœdic, half a day and you will have done the tour but it is worth the detour. For Houat you will have to spend the day there and Belle île can be visited on foot for hikers, by bike or by electric car and even by bus.
Lorient, a port city that was the cradle of the East India Company whose museum you can visit in Port Louis, has returned to its love of the sea with racing boats.
This is why the city of sailing will make you discover the world of skippers.
From Lorient the coast is dotted with coves, small seaside towns such as Lomener, the golf course of Ploemeur, Fort Bloqué to the river Laïta.
A circuit through beautiful villages: La Gacilly with its photo festival every summer, Rochefort in land the prettiest village in France, Redon at the confluence of the Vilaine and the canal from Nantes to Brest, Lizio and his scrap metal poet.
All of these places are about an hour's drive from the Mane Braz stopover.
By the RN 165, access to Finistère will be easy. From Lorient, the entire coast from Larmor to Guidel will reveal treasures of rich and varied landscapes.
Crossing the river Laïta you will arrive in Finisterian country in the footsteps of gauguin's school with the Pouldu, Clohars-Carnoëtet the pretty little port of Doêlan.
